IT ALL STARTED WHEN MY DOCTOR SAID I AM OVERWEIGHT AND AT RISK FOR DEVELOPING TYPE 2 DIABETES.

“I joined a lifestyle change program by HabitNu. It’s working! I have lost 25 pounds in 16 weeks. Can see my goal weight is achievable. I have been able to sustain the changes and calorie awareness that the videos highlight. And, honestly, it hasn’t been too hard....
I feel better about myself, I feel I can do more, I feel my balance has improved. All good things! A shout out to anyone who is feeling overwhelmed”.... Like Dory says: Just keep swimming!”

What is Prediabetes?

Prediabetes means that your blood sugar level is higher than normal but not yet high enough to be type 2 diabetes. Without intervention, people with prediabetes are very likely to progress to type 2 diabetes i. If you have prediabetes, the long-term damage of diabetes especially to your heart, blood vessels and kidneys may already be starting. If you are overweight you are very likely to be at risk for type 2 diabetes. However, the good news is that you can reverse this condition with lifestyle changes.

HabitNu, CDC-recognized Lifestyle Change Program

The Center for Disease Control’s (CDC) diabetes prevention program (DPP) is a year-long lifestyle change program designed for those at risk for type 2 diabetes. If you lose 5-10% of their body weight, through diet and lifestyle changes you can prevent the onset of type 2 diabetes. The CDC’s DPP program is based on clinical research, indicating that participants who completed the CDC’s DPP program had a 58% risk reduction for developing type 2 diabetes.
